It was shortly after midnight when the infamous communist revolutionary Halke Xle departed from Charion towards Sho Sho, with his two nigh inseparable battle brother's Har Shle and Hion Zou however in their path lies a small stretch of the Meltorian outback, a dangerous land filled with bandits and countless other men and women that would do anything to capture this trio. The journey might have been more comfortable if they could approach any road without getting spotted by a military or worse a corporate patrol.
The warm sands of the Meltorian outback could be seen for miles around it had only been approximately 20 minutes since leaving Charion, and already Halke felt they had been walking for hours. He looked to his left and spotted his dear friend, somebody he considered almost like a brother Hion Zou his firey brown hair, unkempt and messy swayed with what little wind the skies would afford him it even covered his entire face from time but he would just put on his best face and smile. Even now just realizing it Halke could see Hion smiling directly at him as if to say "Ey my friend we've got this, so just face forward and walk to our destiny!" Well, that's what he thought he was trying to say, Hion was a peculiar man indeed. Looking beyond Hion, he could see the pillars of Sothis. This name should not be confused with the towering pillars of Sothis just 50 kilometres North of here, people in this land enjoyed naming things after the Goddess of time, Sothis. It's said the closer you are to the Heavens the closer you are to having a divine revelation shown to you much like Serios The Warrior of Time had Millenium ago, well that's what the crackpots in The Church said anyway, Halke wasn't the biggest fan of religion. He was sure it didn't like him either. To his right, the ever stone-faced Har Shle was staring directly forward with a neat ponytail of hair occasionally swaying behind him. Unlike the ever-adventurous Hion, Har Shle was very conservative and only spoke when necessary, which Halke though might not be so bad after all, Hion was enough talk he would ever need in his life. Both of his close allies were wearing their worn down "disguise" clothes which were just miner overalls and a shirt something that should hopefully get them passed the guards at the mine and enough time to destroy or attempt to extract the mysterious metal. Looking upon himself Halke could feel his short hair swaying silently in the wind his rather short stature made him look almost like a child in comparison to the rather tall Har, thankfully Hion was only slightly taller than himself. He and his brothers all held a dagger of at least palpable quality and a cyanide pill if the operation went south. The unfortunate consequence of the corporation practically annihilating the black market is that even somebody as high up in The People's Front couldn't get their hands on any firearm, well at least he thought to himself the new Meltorian order would be plagued by a dominant black market.
All this thought distracted him to Hion he had been staring at him for what he thought was a while. "Ey brother! You finally stopped thinkin like you usually do?" Hion brashly shouted in his usual tone. Studying his mouth he could see his frankly disgusting teeth, of course, dental hygiene was far from an average Meltorians must do daily actions. "You know my intelligence has won us the day multiple times; your so-called charisma is just you bearing your little fangs!" Helke bounced back, and the unfortunate thing is he wasn't wrong Hion was far from the beat Har was. "Hah! Look at you; ye like some soldier rather than the infamous leader of the good ole People's trio, who the hell thought of that name anyway?" He laughed back with his alms, pointing to the sky in his typical childlike joy. "Well go on then brother, who was the one who made up the name mhmm?" "You know as well as me we serve the people." He snapped back. "Or are you thinking of abandoning your oath to the people?" Inwardly Hekle was laughing as much as Hion; those words always caught him off guard. He was quite predictable. "A-ah well of course not! It's just well... Guess I walked into that one, didn't I?" Raising his hands in defeat. "But one of these days I'll be the one surprising you!" "Well if you say so, but I don't count on it." He laughed ba
ck. It was moments like these that reminded him that his goal was for all of the people, a free Meltor might just be achievable in his lifetime. Then nobody would have to suffer as he did, even thirteen years later the scars that he suffered from those bourgeoisie bastards refuse to heal. "You better start counting on it, or you won't be getting any water on the trip back." Thinking about it Helke was starting to get incredibly thirs
ty this rather bulky bag that the nerds back in the lab said should keep him safe from the metal, whatever it is. For people so smart, they rarely actually knew what something was. All down to those bourgeoisie bastards, they've ruined this great country in their endless pursuit of wealth!
"Both of you, we're near the entrance, get ready, or you'll get shot." The ever-observant Har Shle finally spoke disturbing his train of thought. If he was just a little more talkative, he would do well as a military officer.
"Right!" The duo responded even if he was the leader of the trio Har was somebody you couldn't just ignore. Looking ahead he could see the mine, or at least the barbed fencing that told you something was there. The fences towered above normal men and guard towers dotted around the area. Hopefully, the guards at the front had been replaced with bribed watchmen or comrades of the revolution they only had one chance at this if they failed this dangerous material could be used to weaken the people further. That must not happen, now was the time for action and if recent reports from Acolio is anything to go by the fellow revolutionary group The Legion of Fire were starting something big, whatever it is it's got command shaken.
The people must have their real revolution, The Legion wish to restore the monarchy, the corporations want to line their pockets, and us The People's Union must bear our power if we wish to survive!
