Presiu, The Edmon Palace
North Meltor
2:00 PM(Local time)
When I was coronated as the Empress of the nation, I was told The Palace of Edmon, which is the palace of meetings and arguments. Was a perpetual crackpot of various views, but they never told me about this deep-seated corruption that hangs on like a disease, these supposedly infallible beacons of morality these nobles, no these corporate puppets care only for what gives their overlords the most money. These halls which once might have had meaningful debates that decide the future of Meltor have collapsed into nothing more than empty promises "We'll fix it" or "Don't worry unemployment has never been lower" all lies... And here I sit the "Empress" on my golden throne observing these buffoons what influence my ancient house might have had is long gone, oh father, what might you have done?
"My Empress. Are you all right?" Whispered my attendant, Serrio. Those few words brought me back to this sad reality, these sad men that sit before me bicker about which corporation should receive the most help funds from the Monarchy they've been arguing about this very "serious" and "controversial" issues for hours. "Yes, I'm just fine Serrio" I whisper back. Traditionally the Emperor's attendant is to stare forward the entire session, he never really like that.
"Good, don't worry, it seems like the old men are beginning to finish." He returns. Finally, I can't wait to get out of this palace. "Your majesty, we have come to an agreement The Grand Council of Nobility hereby asks you to declare that the Lestiro Conglomerate are to receive 2.3 million Pounds to help them construct their new mine in the desert." Boomed Lord Narshada, the minister of the Economy. The Cameras must be rolling as well he always liked to put on a good show.
"I, Empresses Edelgard Von Numenor last child of the esteemed emperor Siegion Von Numenor hereby authorise and grant 2.3 million pounds to the Lestiro Conglomerate for use in their new mining operation in the desert, and so I henceforth call to an end to this meeting." It's despicable that these men care only for the latest money-making scheme. It's despicable.
